1.                 You will complete a review and a test over the keyboard. To get an A in the keyboarding portion of this class you must key at least 20 wpm with five errors or less. Also, you must be able to complete any assignments in a reasonable amount of time. The time allowed for completion depends on the length of the assignment. Most assignments should be able to be completed in one or two class periods. You will be introduced to basic word processing skills during this time also.

2.                 You will  participate in group timed writings and/or team timed writing relays, depending on class size.

3.                 Word processing tools will be stressed and you will be given assignments to practice those tools. You will also be learning some word processing basics in the form of Mrs. Marshall’s Word Processing Commandments. You will be tested over the word processing tools as well as the commandments.

4.                 You will also learn about some of the other tools in word processing programs other than just the basics, e.g. draw tools, grid tool, rotate tool.

5.                 At the end of the term, we will review everything learned and do some just- for-fun assignments if time allows.
